The Federal Government, through the Higher Education Commission (HEC), offers scholarships for undergraduate, postgraduate (MS/MPhil) and doctoral (PhD) degrees in fields such as medicine, engineering, agriculture, management, computer science, and more.

Candidates can apply through the HEC Scholarship Portal. It is worth noting that the portal is currently unavailable.

The Supreme Elections Committee has not announced the deadline for submitting the online application yet.

  • HEC will not accept applications in paper form.
  • HEC will not accommodate requests for any changes to a submitted application.
  • Candidates who already enjoy any other scholarship will be refused.

Eligibility Criteria Scholarships for Afghan Students Pakistan Announces

Bachelors
  • Have completed 12 years or the equivalent of education.
  • Be between the ages of 17-23 years old by the deadline.
  • Have at least 75 percent in Shahdatnama or 60 percent in IBCC equivalency.
  • Fulfilling the admission criteria of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) of 65 percent and 60 percent respectively, if she is a medical or engineering student.
MS/MPhil
  • To be 35 years old or less if he is not a faculty member. The age limit for faculty members is 40 years.
  • Completed 16 years of education.
  • Have a minimum of 2.5 CGPA out of 4.
PhD
To be 35 years old or less if he is not a faculty member. The age limit for faculty members is 40 years.

Completed 18 years of education.

Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3 out of 4.
