Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships For Afghan Students (Phase-III). Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship for Afghan Students (Third Phase).

The government of Pakistan offers scholarships to Afghan youth to build their capabilities by imparting quality education to 4,500 researchers in various fields including medicine, engineering, agriculture, computer science management, etc.

The aim of this scheme is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan and it will further enhance people-to-people contact between the two neighboring countries. 4500 Afghani Scholarship covers living allowance, book allowance, housing fee, and university tuition fees.

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria Levels

Bachelors
  • Have completed 12 years or the equivalent of education.
  • Be between the ages of 17-23 years old by the deadline.
  • Have at least 75 percent in Shahdatnama or 60 percent in IBCC equivalency.
  • Fulfilling the admission criteria of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) of 65 percent and 60 percent respectively, if she is a medical or engineering student.
MS/MPhil
  • To be 35 years old or less if he is not a faculty member. The age limit for faculty members is 40 years.
  • Completed 16 years of education.
  • Have a minimum of 2.5 CGPA out of 4.
PhD
To be 35 years old or less if he is not a faculty member. The age limit for faculty members is 40 years.

Completed 18 years of education.

Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3 out of 4.

  • Establishing professional links between sister institutions in the two countries.
  • To promote the development of human resources for the reconstruction of Afghanistan
  • To develop people for communication between the two neighbors
  • Creating Pakistani goodwill among the Afghan people and establishing professional links between the institutions of the two countries.
  • To provide an opportunity for Pakistani universities to attract students from neighboring countries for quality education.
